The Alpine Climate Summit brings together meteorologists, weather presenters, TV broadcasters and opinion leaders from tourism, business and science. The challenges of climate change in the Alpine region are discussed in various talks and panel discussions.

The Alpine Climate Summit initiative is based on a scientific network that includes members of the Academy of Sciences and the Climate.Snow.Sport research group. Network partners are the Extreme Weather Congress Hamburg and the weather platform wetter.com. The communications agency ProMedia from Innsbruck plays a key role in the organization. The Lebensraum Tirol Group with its subsidiaries Standortagentur, Agrarmarketing and Tirol Werbung as well as the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena region are the main partners and hosts of the AlpenKlimaGipfel.
